Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What is the difference between PBR LIVE and the Live Event Center?
A: Beginning with the Tacoma, Wash., event, the Live Event Center experience will be housed within the PBR LIVE platform. Your PBR.com/Live Event Center login and password will work on the PBR LIVE platform, however, note that only TOUGHEST members and PBR LIVE subscribers have access to this content. More info is available here: http://pbr.cbssports.com.
Q: Can I access LIVE streams without becoming a PBR Fan Club member?
A: Yes. Monthly ($9.95) and annual ($99.95) PBR LIVE packages are available here: http://pbr.cbssports.com.
Q. What digital/streaming content is included with my Fan Club membership?
A: PBR TOUGHEST Fan Club members will have complete LIVE streaming/Live Event Center access, as well as access to the PBR 360 portal at PBR.com/360. A complete breakdown of what is included with each Fan Club membership can be found here: http://specials.pbr.com/PBRFanClub/.
Q. I used to have access to LIVE streaming within the Live Event Center as a TOUGH member. Why do I have to upgrade to TOUGHEST now?
A: If you joined the Fan Club as a TOUGH member prior to the 2013 World Finals, you will have access to LIVE streaming within the Live Event Center through the duration of your membership. After that time, or if you joined the Fan Club after the 2013 World Finals, you will need to upgrade to a TOUGHEST membership to access LIVE streams. The new 2014 streaming package has expanded to include over 100 LIVE streams, including 18 never-before-broadcast Touring Pro Division and Velocity Tour events.
Q: Why did the price of a TOUGHEST membership go up?
A: TOUGEST Fan Club members now have access to the new 2014 LIVE streaming package, PBR LIVE, which has expanded to include over 100 LIVE streams, including 18 never-before-broadcast Touring Pro Division and Velocity Tour events. The price of an annual PBR LIVE subscription only (without other Fan Club benefits) is $99.95. This access is now included within the TOUGHEST Fan Club membership package at $149.95. A complete breakdown of what is included with each Fan Club membership can be found here: http://specials.pbr.com/PBRFanClub/.
Q. The show is on, and I have just upgraded my membership, but I can't access the premium content that I have paid for. Why?
A. After you upgrade your membership it takes about 10 minutes for the order to get through all parts of the system before you can access the content. You will have to log out of the Live Event Center, and then log back in. If your issue persists, please reach us by phone at (800) 732-1727 or email us at LECFeedback@pbr.com.
Q. Why do I have to pay for Live Event Center access? This used to be free.
A. Live Event Center access is still free, however, as an added value to PBR Fan Club members, some pieces of the LEC are now premium content, namely detailed scoring, LIVE video and audio streaming, and LIVE photos.
Q. What can I access for free in the Live Event Center?
A. With a FREE membership, you can access LIVE scoring, behind-the-scenes blog entries from Keith Ryan Cartwright, as well as the ability to chat LIVE with bull riding fans around the world, are all features that are available for free.
Q. Since we are paying for Live Event Center access, why are some LIVE streams still showing a stationary camera where I can hardly tell what's going on?
A. Unfortunately, per our television contracts, we are not always able to show the TV style experience. Whenever possible, the LEC will feature a stream with up-close action and replays.
Q. I get an error message in saying that I need to upgrade Internet Explorer to watch the video, how do I fix that?
A. That message comes from the Internet Explorer compatibility mode. To disable compatibility mode please do the following.
1. Press the ALT key on the keyboard while looking at the Live Event Center.
2. From the Tools Menu select Compatibility View Settings
3. If you see pbr.com listed in the box that says websites you have added to Compatibility view, click on it and click remove.
4. Verify the box that says Display all websites in Compatibility view is not checked.
5. Click Close
6. Reload the video in the chute.
Q. Why is the 'Listen Live!' audio always ahead of the video? - Or - Why is the video always lagging behind the 'Listen Live!' audio?
A. The audio for 'Listen Live!' and the audio and video for the live video feed currently run through two completely different systems. Until we can merge the two systems together, there will always be a difference in timing between the two of them.
Q. Why is the delay in the video not seem consistent, sometimes I am only seconds behind the live event, and sometimes it seems like minutes.
A. I don't want to bore you to death with the technical answer to this question. To make it short(er) I will state that there are many reasons. It all starts with your internet connection. The more time it takes for the video player from our website to talk to your computer and come to an agreement on all the settings needed to provide you the best possible viewing experience, the more delay you will see in the video. Sometimes you can reload the video and you will negotiate a quicker connection to the video which can shorten your delay.
Q. I clicked on the Day sheet link, and my computer tells me that I cannot open the file. Why?
A. The Day sheet is in the Adobe PDF format. If you cannot open the file, you most likely need to install Adobe Reader. Please go to www.adobe.com and download/install Adobe Reader.
